Listen and observe...

Many people are telling stories of corporations forcing them and their co-workers to work like slaves. Instead of a whip, they use fear of job loss. Many, NOT ALL, but MANY corporations have come to the realization that a terrified workforce is a motivated workforce.

This means that these corporations, again NOT ALL of them, can exploit their employees and force them to do the workload of two, three, or five people. They then give a motivational speech:

"We all have to make sacrifices for the company. This might mean you have to work a little later. Or maybe you need to come in on the weekends. Or maybe you need to take some of your work home with you."

"We have to do what is best for the company."

"We do care about you, and if you feel that these requirements are a bit too much, we will accept your resignation. After all, there are countless professionals out there with just as much work experience as you, and they are desperately seeking a job."

"You're one of the lucky ones. But we're going to need you to work a bit harder, longer, and without any bonuses or pay raises. But you get to keep your job so that makes it fair, right?"

Many corporations are working their employees to death. If an employee can't sustain the insane workload (which NO ONE can for an extended period of time), the corporation says, "Too bad, we have to let you go."

Again, NOT ALL CORPORATIONS have adopted this "employee-enslavement" policy, but an alarming number have, and many more are beginning to; listen and observe, be aware and notice trends and patterns around you.

Maybe things will "magically" get better and corporations will stop focusing entirely on their bottom lines and start focusing on the well-being of their employees, and jobs will become blissful...

Or...it will get worse.

Phone call from my old boss who fired me -

This is an email I received from an instructor of mine, Perry Marshall.

I was fired...

Again

It was a Friday. I was about 10 minutes late for work. Before I could put my lunch in the refrigerator, Wally & Fred called me into Wally's office.

Something did not feel right.

"Perry, we're going to have to let you go. Things just aren't working out and it's time to cut you loose."

We'd had the pleading conversation about giving me one more chance 2-3 times already. That discussion just wasn't gonna happen again.

2 years before when they'd hired me, Wally said, "Perry is a sales guy just waiting to happen." Now Perry was *still* a sales guy 'just waiting to happen' and they had waited long enough.

I drove the long commute back home. When I walked in the back door at 9:30 in the morning, it only took Laura about one second to figure out what happened. (It was about the 5th or 6th job I'd been fired from, and she was starting to get accustomed to this.)

Firing me was the l-a-s-t thing Wally and Fred wanted to do. Other than the long string of failed sales contracts, we all liked each other just fine. They all had families; terminating a young guy with an 18 month old baby girl who'd been born just after he started wasn't exactly their idea of a fun team-building exercise.

But it didn't really matter how much "I love you / you love me / we're a happy family" we all had together, business is business and sales is sales. If you can't bring home the bacon, you don't get breakfast.

In moments like that, you make decisions, vows, inner resolutions.

I made a decision to prove to those guys that Wally had been right at the very beginning and I really *was* a sales guy waiting to happen. "Someday. . . . I'll show those guys. . . ." I swore under my breath.

Part of me was tempted to want 'revenge' but I held that emotion in check. They were just doing what they had to do after all.

But even more than that, I made a decision that somehow or another I was going to find *something* that worked. Everything I'd tried to sell for the previous 7 years had failed.

It's a horrible feeling when you're X years old [however old that happens to be] and hardly anything you've ever done has been successful.

That was 12 years ago.

Well guess what happened the other day? Fred called me out of the blue.

He asked me if I could help him with his company's marketing. I hadn't seen him since the day I got fired. Shortly after we parted, he started a new firm.

Last week we had lunch on the patio of an Italian restaurant.

This time, he drove the long commute from the Northwest Suburbs to come see me.

He brought his operations manager. I was telling the guy how my time with Fred was just one of those seasons of life where nothing was working. Fred chimes in: "Well it wasn't from lack of effort. Perry tried EVERYTHING."

I nod. Yep that's right, I tried just about everything.

Fred asks me, "Any regrets?"

I shake my head vigorously. "No regrets. Not one. Things happen for a reason and there are just certain things you have to learn. Sometimes the lessons are hard. That job didn't work out but it prepared me superbly for the next job, which worked splendidly."

As we're talking I think back and am truly thankful for all the tools I put on my tool belt during that horribly painful time. Not a week goes by that I don't draw from something I learned during those 2 years.

And I'm reminded how powerful it is to have an attitude of gratitude even when, in the moment, it doesn't really feel like you have anything to be thankful for at all.

I can promise you, it didn't *feel* like I had much to be thankful for then. But that just wasn't true. There wasn't much fat to go around, but I was building LOTS of muscle.

And you know what. . . it's been the same story in *every* department of my life. All the various times of relationship conflicts, problems with kids, therapy sessions, financial struggles, evil bosses, botched deals, deadbeat co-workers . . . all were seasons of building muscles, building muscles, building muscles.

During that time years ago I was desperate and I did LOTS of soul searching. Fred asked me what finally made my career start to click.

I said, "I was an 'OK' salesman back then and I was getting killed by the 'good' salesmen. But when I went from selling something where techie skills were *helpful* to selling something where techie skills were *mandatory*, everything started to take off."

That made complete sense to him. The geek department is my #1 strength and everything I've done since then has taken full advantage of my geek background.

In hindsight, all the tweaking and wrangling in the world wouldn't have made that job work well. Yes there are a lot of things we could have done better, failed projects we could have saved. Most of the key ingredients were there, but at the end of the day I was trying to pound a square peg into a round hole. The job was at war with my inner geek.

So. . . was it the *wrong* job? Was it a mistake to work there in the first place?

No.

Sometimes you pick up a LOT of skills during those seasons of pounding square pegs into round holes. (To be completely honest, the pegs almost NEVER fit perfectly anyway, do they??? They sure haven't for me!)

Whatever life is throwing at you at the moment, you focus on the positive, express gratitude, and believe that there is a bigger picture that you truly are cracking the code on.

And I'd like you to consider that if you happen to be in a situation like my old job where lots of things are almost working but nothing is actually working, it might be because all the little things are right and there's just one "BIG" thing that's wrong.

Sometimes when you fix that one BIG thing, your fortunes reverse.

Meanwhile, thanks Fred. . . and Wally. . . and Nick and Ron and Gary and Jim and Mike and all the other odd assorted characters I've moshed with along the way.

My friend, I hope you can feel gratitude for whatever crazy things you've gone through and whatever punches you've rolled with. There's an old proverb "faithful are the wounds of a friend" and it's really true. The laboratory of reality was saying "Time to move on" and Wally and Fred did the right thing by listening to it.

And just remember . . . you never know when things may come full circle, when you find that you've earned the respect you so desperately craved in a prior season of life.

You never know when someone you were useless to way back when, will suddenly find you useful. And maybe even necessary.

Standing In Line

This is an email I received from a colleague of mine, Jay Kubassek.

Standing in line?

Lame.

We all despise it to some degree right? How many times have you been excited for your favorite yogurt place restaurant or movie, only to have your excitement instantaneously deflated when you’re ushered with a smile (hopefully, but not always) towards a 30-minute line to wait. We as a society despise waiting so much we invented a way to wait in line in private. They call it Drive-thru!

I have a favorite coffee spot in the city. Actually, I admittedly have a few favorites, but today I was in the area of one near our old office in the East Village. The tender dark aroma of this place has a scent you can catch a half a block away, and thankfully, because of how tiny it is, the line is never too bad. Today as I rounded the corner towards the shop, something else was distinctly in the air. Another smell, not quite as savory, but something edible. It floated amongst the smell of fresh roasted beans, mixed with honeysuckle from the newly blossomed trees that line Avenue A. Being a farm boy and sucker for curious smells, I decided to follow my nose for just a second and investigate this peculiar but pleasant scent. What I found around the corner was not a early afternoon barbeque, or a farmer’s market cookout, it was the Salvation Army food truck and the line was devastating.

Like a slow moving infantry, the homeless lined the edge of Tompkins Square park in the warm sun. Every item they owned; collected trash, bottles and cans, cardboard, blankets and push carts clinked and clanked as the crowd moved in what felt like one slow unified crusade towards the food. Volunteers moved vigorously to serve the plates; a warmth on their faces that I knew only masked the sadness of such a scene. Just north of the line, less than a stone’s throw, the cruel irony of this scene is completed by a glowing, technicolor of a playground for children. Just a mere 30 yards away; laughter and innocence, snacks and handi-wipes.

I sat across the street for a moment, struck by the contrast. I thought to myself: everyone in this line was once like these children. A child full of perpetual hope and promise; with no worry about their next meal, only the next swing set. Now, it does me no good to try and contemplate why such things happen. It is beyond my knowledge, and will probably continue to be. But what I can contemplate is how grateful I can be for still having that hope and promise fill my everyday life. I can be grateful that I needn’t worry about where my next meal is coming from. I can be grateful to be in a position to give and not just receive.

I wrote the donation number down on the side of the truck and made my way back towards the coffee shop. A feeling of gratitude beaming inside of me somehow. As I turned the corner I saw, of course, there was a line. I stepped right in with a smile on my face, thankful simply for the choice to do so.

Stay grateful. Stay thankful. Stay humble.

The Only Two Reasons They Ever Look Away.

Ever since I started my own home based business and having been on many prospecting calls, I have found that it really only boils down to one of two reasons why anyone won't buy, get started, sign up, order, etc.

They Are Not Ready Yet

You Are Not The Leader They Are Looking For

Now there are tons of different ways that someone might say no to you, but in reality they all boil down to one of these two reasons. Let's elaborate a little on each of these here:

#1 - They Are Not Ready Yet

When a prospect tells you that they are not ready yet, it does not mean that they will not be ready in the future. It only means that they are not ready to take action right now. Maybe this prospect is part of the wouldn't, shouldn't, couldn't crowd. Or perhaps they are just undecided - something that affects about 90% of everyone you contact. They have no resolution, no decision, and no forward progress. Ever. This is not something you have done to them and you must not take it personally. Most of these people are just conditioned to act this way and are programmed to doubt themselves as well as those around them. As a result, they don't decide and ultimately never moving from where they are.

Some people cannot move forward because of a preoccupation with other commitments and to start something with you would lead to an overwhelming environment. This can also be the case for successful people who multi-task and have multiple streams of income. Many times these can be your best business partners. When they are ready for a change, you could possibly be propelled to new success. Their past history of success will often repeat itself and they will become a top producer on your team.

Critical thinkers will usually not get started either. These are people who after looking or listening to information does not see an opportunity. They will object with statements like "I don't think anyone would pay $20 for a bottle of Product X" or "Who would buy that service for $500?" or "Nobody I know would do this." What they are really telling you is that they would not pay for this or do this, so they project onto everyone that nobody else would either. They may even try to convince you that your opportunity is not very good.

Whatever you do, don't take it personal. Just thank them for their time and show them the door. Let them know that if they ever get serious about changing their lives that they should feel free to get back in touch with you. However, many times you won't even want them to, so don't say it if you don't mean it.

Sometimes you even get a prospect to move forward and get started with your product or service, but the action stops there. They just don't act on what they just purchased. They may read the information, use the pills/juice/service, but they are just not ready to start marketing yet. Don't confuse knowledge with power. Applied knowledge is power, so if someone knows about the opportunity or has the information but does not act on it, it is because they are just not ready yet. Their belief in the opportunity's potential affects their actions, which affects their results, which affects their belief, which feeds what they believe is possible and the cycle of procrastination will continue.

Remember to keep these people in you contact list, in an autoresponder or follow up file, and perhaps they might even contact you and ask what they need to do to move forward. This is a good thing - your best partners are the ones that come to you.

#2 - You Are Not The Leader They Are Looking For

When I say leader, this can mean anything from "marketer" to "advertiser" to " salesperson" to "information provider" to "business partner". No matter what title you give yourself, you must continually improve on yourself. When I first started and was struggling to enroll anyone into my business, I realized that the only thing keeping the prospects (that I hadn't weeded out who were not ready) from getting started was ME!

My doubts and fears of success, failure, leadership, responsibility, etc. were so strong and so obvious and I repelled good people who might have joined if I was more comfortable with myself. I liked my business, my product, my opportunity; I just didn't believe in myself.

I found that the biggest reason that people will not see you as the leader they are looking for is not because your product/service is not good, but because they see you as you see yourself. With all the doubt, fear, uncertainty, low self esteem, etc., why would anyone ever buy from you when you are not even sold on yourself yet?

When you start to feel good about you and what you can do with your business, then other people will too. When you gain peace of mind and emotional autonomy, other people will sense your self esteem and rock solid belief and want to be a part of whatever product, company, or system you are aligned with.

So many times we work on building our business, but forget to work on ourselves. Many times, you need to work on yourself more. There are tons of books, CD's, mentoring programs, coaching, etc. All of these great things will greatly assist you in developing your mindset, your belief system, and your attractor factor. This is part of the law of attraction, and when you become attractive to others, they will want whatever it is you have to offer.

What will the world be like when you are gone?

As I read today's issue of Sports Illustrated, I couldn't help but think of the legacy I would be leaving behind when I am gone.

I know you are probably reading this thinking 'what could you possibly read in Sports Illustrated that would get you thinking about your legacy?'

Well, today's issue hits close to home for me. On the cover you will see a picture of Ed Thomas, standing with his arms crossed and few football players in the background and with the billing "A Good Man Down – Tragedy in the Heartland: The Murder of a Beloved High School Coach." Most people reading this don't know Ed Thomas or how a high school football coach could end up on the cover of Sports Illustrated. It was Thomas who had led the townspeople of Parkersburg, Iowa, out of the rubble of a tornado last year, showed them how to live a Christian life, and brought honor to a football field he mowed himself.

On May 25, 2008, a tornado with winds exceeding 200 mph cut a hole three quarters of a mile wide in the heart of Parkersburg, killing eight people, destroying 220 homes, and leveling the high school. Then, just this past week, on June 24, 2009, the most recognized figure in town was gunned down in the makeshift high school weight room.

He delivered sermons when ministers were away. He consoled husbands whose wives were ill. He presented baby boys with FUTURE FALCON certificates. Of course he taught kids to play football, and he also taught driver's ed.

The night Thomas died, 2,500 people showed up at the field for a vigil - an impressive number considering there are only 1,900 people in the town of Parkersburg.

A look back at the life of Ed Thomas won't reveal a man who had everything money could buy - but it will reveal to you one of the richest men who ever lived.

What you give during your life will determine your true value. Your legacy will live on. As I look back on the life of Ed Thomas I have to stop and wonder if I give enough - everyday. One thing is for certain though; anyone would be honored to live the life that Ed Thomas did - most of us just don't know how.

The head now looks rounded. The eyelids are beginning to unite, and the eyes appear half closed. The fingers and toes are separated. By today, the thin layer of ectoderm that has covered the baby has been replaced by a layer of rather flattened cells, which will become the surface layer of the baby's skin. The intestines have begun their migration, but are still primarily located in the umbilical cord. The baby's sex still can't be identified by looking at the external genitals. The tail has disappeared. The baby measures 1 inch long (25.4mm) and weighs about .04-.11 ounces (1-3 grams).

The surface of the baby's brain is now beginning to develop the rounds and fissures characteristic of humans. The upper lip is fully formed. Primary ossification centers are appearing in the long bones. These centers direct the replacement of cartilage by bone. The ossification process always starts in the upper arms, where the first true bone cells will replace the cartilage. If our baby is a girl, the clitoris is beginning to form from the same tissue that the penis, if a boy, will develop from. By this time, the critical period for the baby's heart development has ended. The heart will continue to grow and develop, but not at such a fast pace.

The structure of the baby's eye is now well developed (it's not mature enough to do any visual processing yet though). Over the next three days, the tongue will begin to develop. Distinct grooves are formed between the digital rays of the hands. The intestines are beginning to migrate from the umbilical cord (where they were originally formed) into the body cavity. The external ears are set low on the baby's head. As development proceeds, structures literally get pulled from one location to another. The baby's ears will not stay low set - unless that is a family trait (I don't think mine are). They will be pulled to their normal position as the head grows in size and shape. Likewise, the eyes, although well formed, are located on the sides of the baby's head, much like a rabbit, but they too will migrate forward as head development continues. The baby now measures between .62 - .71 inches long (16-18 mm) and weighs about .033 ounces (.94 grams).

The nasal openings and the tip of the baby's nose are formed. By today, the elbow region is clearly visible. Also, by today, the toe rays have appeared on each foot plate. The skin on the foot plate folds down between the future toes, distinguishing each from the other.

In the next couple of days, the baby's nipples will become visible. During this week, the baby will begin to make spontaneous movements, as the connection improves between its brain and its tiny muscles and nerves. My wife won't be able to feel any of these movements yet, because the baby is still so small, rarely comes into contact with the uterine wall, and the motions involve little actual force. The baby now measures between 1/2 and 2/3 inch (13-17 mm) in length.

Write An Outline

I recommend simply using an outline for your videos. The more natural your video sounds the better. People are very boring when they read word for word from a script.

For your first video, use this outline:

Introduce yourself
Relate to your viewers (i.e. Chances are, I used to be just like you. I was sick of working 9-5 and not making what I knew I was worth. If you have a family, as I do, then you know how difficult it is to make ends meet and still have time to be there for your kids, etc.)
Identify a problem (i.e. you can't get ahead by trading time for dollars)
Share the solution (i.e. using the internet to market yourself, you have leverage. This allows you to make the best use of your time and money, so you can have more of both!)
Give viewers a specific call to action (i.e. If you're serious about making $50,000 or more within your first year, go to www.MyWebsite.com)

Make Your Video

Don't worry about making your video absolutely perfect. Quickly review your outline, and just start recording! I usually only do one take, unless I really mess something up. That brings me to my next point...

You can upload your video to multiple video sharing sites including YouTube, Revver, Dailymotion, Viddler, and the list goes on and on. The more sites you upload your video to, the more people you are likely to connect with.

Promote Your Video

The video sharing sites will already be going to work promoting your video for you, based on the tags and description you gave your video when uploading.

For example, when a prospect goes to Google.com and searches for a keyword that you used in your tags, your YouTube video can pop up in the search engines results.

There are a couple reasons why video has become so popular. From a business standpoint, people have a tendency to like things they SEE and experience, rather than just reading.

Making videos is much easier than you think! Let's run down a few things you are going to need to get going.

1. Webcam/Video Camera If you are going to make videos, you will need something to record with! I personally recommend The Flip. This camera can be used as a regular video camera and a web cam. It has everything you need to become a video marketer extraordinaire! It's by far the easiest camera to use, so if you're technically challenged, this is the camera you want. You can get The Flip by clicking here.

If you're on a tight budget you can get a web-cam that mounts onto your computer at your local store, such as Best Buy, for around $35. If you have a newer computer (especially a Mac) double check your computer before purchasing an entirely new camera. You might have a webcam already built in. You can still get The Flip if you want to shoot more lifestyle-type videos.

2. Good Lighting and Sound Make sure you do a quick test video to ensure that people can actually see and hear you in your video. This only needs to be about ten to twenty seconds long. You don't want to waste your efforts by shooting a six minute video and uploading it to YouTube, only to have no one be able to see or hear you.

3. Choose An Appropriate Background You want the words in your video to match what people are seeing. For example, if your video talks about the awesome lifestyle you've achieved with your business, make what people are seeing convey the same message. Also, do a little housekeeping first. No dirty laundry or old pizza boxes in the background. No one likes to see that, and it only devalues your videos.

Within the heart, the trunk of the pulmonary artery (the blood vessel that sends blood to the lungs to become oxygenated) separates from the trunk of the aorta. The baby's kidneys are beginning to produce urine. Today, the critical period for the baby's arm development has ended. The arms are now at their proper location and proportional size for this stage in development. The only task left is to complete the development of the hands.

Because of all the rapid development, the baby's head is now much larger that its trunk. Over the next two days, the neck and trunk will begin to straighten (remember, prior to this point the embryonic baby has been shaped like the letter C). Also, within the next two days, the hand plates will develop ridges indicating where the baby's fingers and thumb will be. As the process of forming the digital rays (ridges) continues, the baby's hands will look like the shell of a scallop. The baby now measures nearly ½ inch long (11-14mm). It is so small it would fit into a walnut shell and it weighs less than a book of matches.

The pituitary, or master gland, is beginning to form in the baby's brain. This gland produces growth hormone and other hormones that regulate the function of other glands, especially the thyroid, adrenal glands, and gonads (later to be ovaries or testes - still taking guesses for the baby's sex). The olfactory bulb (connected with the sense of smell) is also beginning to form in the brain. During the next four days, pigment will begin to form in the retina of the eye and the lower limb paddles will develop foot plates. The windpipe (trachea), voice box (larynx), and bronchi (tubes that lead to the lungs) are beginning to form. The baby now measures .3 to .43 inch long (8-11mm), having doubled in length in just eight short days!

The cerebellum - the area of the brain that coordinates muscle movement, is beginning to develop. A primitive palate is forming on the roof of the baby's mouth. The baby's hand plates (flat rounds of tissue that will become the hands) will appear by today if the aren't already present. The elbow and wrist regions of the arm are becoming identifiable. The spleen (the organ that produces antibodies and removes worn-out red blood cells and bacteria from the bloodstream) is beginning to develop. The liver is now large enough to produce a bulge in the baby's abdomen.

This is a great post from a friend of mine, Aaron Parkinson. He digs deep into the 'scam' genre.

This is a topic I have wanted to write about for many years but was worried I may “offend” some people. I no longer care. Over the last five years I have purchased about $100,000 worth of information online. I did this to stay ahead of the curve and improve my odds on being successful. In the last year I have started to notice that almost every author I buy from has someone calling them a “scam”. How is it possible that every known expert on the internet is a “scam”?

I started to do some research. I randomly picked some people who have affected my life in a positive way. I did a Google search on these people:

Anthony Robbins- He has sold millions of books, helped thousands of people, and suggests love as a way of doing business. Apparently, he is a scam.

Donald Trump- Self made billionaire, TV show host, best selling author. Guess what also called a scam.

Oprah - Self made billionaire and super philanthropist. Also called a scam. Impossible you say? More like unbelievable.

Now, just for fun I thought I would enter the search term Mother Theresa. There is no way that someone could call an icon, a person of such amazing levels of compassion, a saint, a scam is there? Wrong. There is actually a website that calls her a fraud and an evil person. That one blew my mind.

How could all these people and there businesses be a scam? The truth is….they aren’t. The true scammer is the person writing the article about them.

Now, I am not saying that there aren’t illegal or illegitimate businesses out there. There are. But not anywhere close to as many as you think. At least 98% of people and businesses that are of accused being a scam are being improperly labeled. Here are the three reasons why calling something a scam is a scam.

1) People take zero responsibility for the decisions they make. They buy some information or start a business and when it doesn’t work for them they call it a scam. Did they do the research? Did they follow the instructions? Were they under capitalized? There are so many reasons why a person can fail and 99% of them are the fault of the buyer.

2) They want to “ride the coat tails”. This means they have something they want to sell and they leverage the successful person’s traffic to get people to there website. If you ever see someone selling something right after they trash a person on there site then understand it is a marketing tactic. It has zero credibility.

3) Consumer protection-like sites. These are the biggest scammers out there. Most of owners cannot even be found for a reason. They are constantly being sued for slander but if you can’t find them you can’t sting them. They allow uneducated people to whine and complain about people and companies without verifying the validity of anything. You could even go on these sites as an employee of a company and randomly trash your competition….without anyone verifying the truth. So why do these sites exist? So the owners can sell advertising spots on there website. They are cockroaches. Plain and simple.

I hope this article gets passed around to millions of people. I want to educate everyone on how ridiculous things are getting. If you have a bad experience with something then ask yourself if you could have done something more.

Why?

Because that is how you learn. If you never take any responsibility for your failures then it makes it almost impossible to succeed. Look at the people who have the results you want and copy them. Don’t rip them down.

Don’t be a coward and call them a scam.

By this time, thirty-eight pairs of somites have formed. (the somites form the bones and muscles of the head and trunk. Don't worry, I had to look it up too) If they haven't appeared already, the leg buds will be present today.

The baby's brain has differentiated into the three main parts possessed by all human brains: the forebrain, the midbrain, and the hindbrain.

The hindbrain contains regions that help regulate heart rate and breathing and coordinate muscle movements

The midbrain is a relay station, sending messages to their final destinations in the brain

The forebrain has specialized structures called "lobes" that translate input from the senses, play a role in memory formation and storage, and engage in "higher order" processing, like thinking, reasoning, and problem solving.

The baby now measures ¼ inch (6-7mm) long - that is 10,000 times bigger than at conception, and we are only at day 30!

The lenses of the baby's eyes continue to form. The surface layer of the baby's skin will be formed during this month. The tongue is recognizable and the nasal pits are beginning to form. The lymphatic system (the system that filters out bacteria and other foreign particles) is beginning to develop. A second nonfunctional set of kidneys appears. The arms still look like flippers. The gonads are present but have not developed into ovaries or testes. (anyone want to guess girl or boy yet?) In eight more days (that would be day 37) the baby will be twice as long as it is today.

The lenses of the baby's eyes are beginning to form. The lens bends the light that enters the eye to focus a clear image for vision. The arms now look like flippers. The next eighteen days mark a critical period for arm and leg development. At this point, the baby has no visible arms or legs. Thirteen pairs of somites are now present. Liver and pancreas buds are present. The embryo now assumes a curved shape, with a prominent bump representing the head.

Take a good look at your life right now. Where are you? Where are you going? What are your goals? Everyone has room for improvement, and most of us are striving for something better. But the question that remains, will you get there from here?

We all have aspirations to accomplish goals. Perhaps you want to buy your first house or afford to send your children to college or even start that career you have always wanted. Maybe even a house or a vacation? Whatever they are, we all have them. Some of those goals you will accomplish and some of them you won't. But have you ever thought that your surroundings may be playing a factor in the outcome?

Now take a look at your closest friends and family. Who are you spending your time with? More than likely, these people are very similar to you in many ways. Their education is similar. Their employment is similar. Their family, their house, their income, and their toys, are all very similar to what you have. Is this a coincidence? Usually not.

Your surroundings depict a certain comfort level in your life. You become like the people who are closest to you. Is that hard for you to believe? Let me give you an example of what I am talking about.

When I started a job as an auto mechanic, I was fairly clean cut and well spoken. But the more time I spent at my job, the more I became like my coworkers. The changes took place everyday, and were so small, that I didn't even notice them - but my wife did. After working there for a few months, she asked me why I was using vulgar language quite regularly. I was dumbfounded by the question. What on earth was she talking about? I wasn't using such language - was I?

The more I thought about it, the more she was right. My surroundings had taken a toll on the way I was living. I had developed the same language as my coworkers. (I guess the potty mouth stereotype of auto mechanics may be correct) The biggest problem here was that I failed to recognize it and fell victim to it. Then I had to make a conscience effort to correct the situation.

This type of activity can happen to anyone in any walk of life. You will become like the people you surround yourself with, whether you like it or not. Now I am not saying that you need to ditch all of your friends and go find new ones, but you do need to make a conscience effort to recognize your surroundings and take appropriate action. If you want to be a successful auto mechanic, then you need to start spending time around successful auto mechanics. If you want to be a professional football player, then you need to start spending time with football players. Want to be a chef, a dancer, or a broker? You guessed it. The earlier you start, the earlier you will achieve your goals.

Don't let your surroundings dictate your future. Take control of your surroundings and mold your own future.

The next thirty days mark a critical period in the development of the baby's heart. While the heart itself consists of just two heart tubes, it has been joined to blood vessels in the baby's system. The next ten days mark a critical period in the development of the central nervous system. The mesoderm is now dividing into matched pairs on either side of the spinal column. These matched pairs of tissue called "somites" will eventually form the bones and muscles of the baby's head and body. Today, the first pair of somites will appear and thirty-eight pairs of somites will form between now and day thirty. The thyroid gland, eventually located a the base of the neck on either side of the windpipe, is also beginning to form. A groove is forming within the primitive streak through which cells will migrate to form three layers of tissue:

The endoderm

The mesoderm

The ectoderm

All of the baby's cells and organs will form from these three tissue layers. The bottom later of cells (endoderm) forms the glands, lining of the lungs, tongue, tonsils, urethra and associated glands, bladder, and degestive tract.

The middle layer of cells (mesoderm) forms the muscles, bones, lymphatic tissue, spleen, blood cells, heart, lungs, and reproductive and excretory systems.

The top layer of cells (ectoderm) forms the skin, nails, hair, lens of the eye, lining of the internal and external ear, nose sinuses, mouth anus, tooth enamel, pituitary gland, mammary glands, and all parts of the nervous system.

In addition, the cells from the middle layer will migrate to form a woven support for the developing organs. Another group of cells form clumps called blood islands, which begin to form the baby's first blood cells. The genetic blueprint in each cell tells the cell what to do and orders its migration to the spot in the baby's body where the development will take place. It is a truly amazing process!

Mike Dillard unfollows thousands, and causes a Twitter uproar.

For those of you unaware of it, Mike Dillard recently made a public announcement that he was going to unfollow thousands of people on his Twitter account. This seemed to cause a huge uproar from those who were following him. The anger started flying:

"why would you abandon me?"

"well, I'm going to unfollow you then!"

"who do you think you are?!"

A lot of people bought into the theory of Twitter karma, i.e. you follow me I follow you. Mike was no exception. But as his Twitter following list grew, he noticed a problem: he was no longer able to sift through all of the garbage on Twitter and find what he was really looking for.

His Twitter stream became over populated. It was no longer a pleasure to use Twitter, but instead became a chore. He no longer liked Twitter and started using less because of this.

Mike was now outside is comfort zone. Twitter needs to be a fun experience. If it isn't, you need to change it.

If you are following someone on Twitter and they are only providing you with garbage, then why are you following them? For the sake that they will follow you back?

You should only follow people on Twitter that you have an interest in or would like to have an interest in. The same applies to your followers. If they have no interest in you or what you have to Tweet about, why follow you?

Personally, Twitter would be no fun for me if I had to sort through 30,000+ people in my Twitter stream. It would become a headache for me. I like to interact with people on Twitter. I follow those I think are or could be interesting. If I am not following you, don't take it personal. I treat it just like I do offline relationships.

If I am at a party and you are boring or just have nothing in common with me, then I move on. I find someone else to mingle with. Twitter is no different.

Remember why Twitter was created and why you are there. I love to connect with people and I love to create new relationships. Twitter allows me to do that on a much larger scale than I ever could offline. As long as I use it for connecting with people, then it should always be pleasurable.

Maybe you should look at your Twitter account too. Maybe you need to unfollow a few people. Maybe you need to start following some that you didn't before because they weren't following you.

Make your Twitter account productive and pleasurable. And for crying out loud, stop worrying about who is following you. If you really want someone to follow you, add more value to your tweets and give them a reason to.

The world wide web has become a massive place. Make sure you can find your way through the clutter.

We all like to find what we are looking for as fast as possible. Let's face it, we have lots to do and no time to do it. We certainly don't want to spend any more time looking for what we want than we have to. Search engines have become better at targeting the information that you want, but you can also help them along.

To do research on the internet more quickly, use what I call the "minus dot com" trick. Simply add a minus sign and '.com' to the end of your search. i.e. "small business performance improvement -.com"

The minus dot com tells the search engine to ignore web sites with .com and focuses your search results to .org, .edu, and .gov, which tend to be more information oriented and trustworthy than their dot com associates.

Here is an example of how this works. If you use Google to search for "small business performance improvement" you will get a listing for 3,880,000 search results. But if you perform the same search but add the minus dot com phrase, you get a more targeted search result with only 1,490,000 listings.

Let us go one step further here. Put quotation marks around the exact phrase that interests you. In this case we will search small business 'performance improvement' -.com and get a search result of 48,100 listings.

By simply letting the search engines know exactly what you want, and what you don't want, you can streamline your search results and find the information you need faster. Now you can spend more time with the content, or better yet, with your family and friends.

Thousands of people start a new home based business every year. Some prosper into massive fortunes, while others just wither away. Some people always seem to have success with their home based business ventures, while others never seem to get their home based businesses off the ground.

After some investigating, I found that the successful home based business owners all seem to have some of the same traits. I want to share that with you today. Hopefully, you will apply these practices to your home based business, and in turn achieve the success you desire.

The Ten Traits Of A Successful Home Based Business Owner

Here are the 10 things I have come up with during my investigation. Pay close attention here. You may even want to take notes or print this off for future reference.

Be A List Maker. I like to do this the night before so I am ready to go the next morning with everything I need to get done. This starts my day off organized and primed for results. As you finish each task, cross it off your list. It is amazing how much you will get done when you can focus on what you need to do, and not hem-hawing about what needs to be done. Having the items crossed off your list will also give you a sense of accomplishment, making you feel better about what you are accomplishing in your home based business.

Be Enthusiastic. Enthusiasm is the fuel you need to accomplish your tasks. Enthusiasm will keep your energy level high. People who are busy, happy, and enthusiastic are always achieving success with home based business. And if that wasn't enough, enthusiasm is contagious. If your enthusiasm level is high, your prospects will see their enthusiasm increase as well.

Set Your Goals. What are you doing? What do you want to accomplish? Pay off your debt? Buy a house? Fire your boss? It doesn't matter what your goals are, you just need to know what they are. Write them down, and be specific. Include exactly what your goals are and when you are going to achieve them. If the goal is large, break it down into smaller goals that combine into your bigger goal. This will keep you focused and keep you from getting discouraged. And make sure you have your goals where you can see them. You want to look at them several times a day. When you wake up in the morning. Before you go to bed at night. Another four to six times throughout the day. This will keep your goals fresh in your mind and keep you focused on achieving them.

Schedule Your Time Wisely. Your schedule is the roadmap by which your home based business travels. It ensures that you are doing your income producing activities first, and your less important items last. Plan your work, and then work your plan. Most people spend too much time in their email inboxes everyday. The most successful home based business owners spend less than one half hour with their emails a day. Also, I know you love your family, but work time is work time. Your family needs to respect your business and know that you need to have uninterupted work time. You need to treat this time just as if you were in a place of employment.

The Magic Word Is "Ask" The most successful home based business owners don't wait for business to come to them. They create their own sales by asking for it. They ask for appointments, and then they do business. They ask for business, and then they close sales. They ask for referrals, and then they have full list of potential prospects. You want to be polite, but firm, when you are asking.

Expect No's. You are going to get no's when running any home based business. Remember that these are not personal. In home based business sales, the law of averages is always at work. Every no you receive will get you closer to a yes. Be sure to keep track of your ratio. It will help you to improve your techniques. You can also use your ratio as a goal. Remember setting our goals? Are you getting eleven no's for every yes? Is your ratio running six no's to a yes? Always remember that your income is dependent on the yes. Also remember that a no is not always the end. Quite often a no is simply a way of saying "I need more time to think." It may simply be a request for more information about your product or service. What your prospect is actually buying is assurance. You need to assure them here with your helpful attitude and complete honesty. They need to know that you want what is best for them. In most instances, they will respect you and do business with you.

Maintain A Positive Attitude. Success with your home based business is ninety percent attitude and ten percent aptitude. Every one of us must develop habits of constructive thinking. All of us. I am proud to be a home based business owner. I am proud to be in sales. Sales is what makes the wheels of our economy turn. Advisor to several presidents Bernard Baruch was once quoted as saying, "If every salesperson sat down and took no orders for twenty-four hours, it would bankrupt the country." Every company that has any kind of product or service is dependent upon sales to move those products and services. Remember, if you become good at sales, you will enjoy and income far above the average.

Have An Office Area. For success with your home based business, it is essential that you have a place where you can work in an organized and efficient manner. An office plus a strict working schedule equals dignity. Both are absolutely essential for efficient operation and accurate record keeping, which are very important to the success of your business.

Be Involved. Most home based business opportunities offer contests to stimulate production. Include those contests and what your results will be as part of your home based business goals. Not only do contests add a considerate amount of income to your business, they are just plain fun to participate in.

Handle Money Intelligently. A regular nine-to-five job in Corporate America usually means a paycheck at the end of two weeks. As a home based business owner, you will be handling money constantly. Making sales with your business means instant income and constant income. It is absolutely mandatory that you become an efficient money manager. Have a separate checking account setup specifically for your business. You will want to deposit every penny from every customer into this account. Since bank statements show an exact record of every penny collected, and business expenses can be verified by your cancelled checks, your record keeping will become more simple and very accurate.

So are you ready to be a home based business professional? Does financial security mean a lot to you? At this point, you need to ask yourself a few questions including:

Am I honest?

Am I willing to learn?

Am I willing to work?

Do I really like people?

Am I actually capable of being my own boss?

If you answered yes to all of these questions, then it is time to find yourself a good home based business opportunity. You will need to find one that you like, one that fills a need or offers a solution to many people, and start working for yourself! If you can take your future into your own hands, then you can make your dreams a reality.

The direct sales industry can provide you with unlimited income potential. But do you really know what the direct sales industry really is?

Thousands of people start a new direct sales opportunity every year. They range anywhere from Amway to Tupperware to the latest cosmetic company. Most people start them with the intention of having a little bit extra money for a few luxuries in life. A new set of drapes, a new wardrobe, better furniture, or more nights at the movies. Branding yourself or business could be the biggest breakthrough you are looking for.

There are a lot of people and a lot of businesses in the world today. Some of the biggest challenges we face everyday as business owners is getting our share of the marketplace. Differentiating yourself from the competition can be a hard task to accomplish, but can be very beneficial.

Take, for example, you are promoting a company replicated website. You market your product or service and drive traffic to your website. From there your visitors read about your product or service and become interested in what you have. From there many people will do research beyond your website. Most will go to a search engine like Google and search for the key terms branded on your website.

For your company replicated website, they will find results for that specific company. Unless you are one of the top 3 search results for the keywords they used, they will be taken to someone else’s web content. These could be articles, press releases, videos, blogs, etc. They will do the research on these web pages and click the links within those pages to go back to the company they were researching. They will become a customer on someone else’s website because they couldn’t tell the difference between your company replicated web site and the new one they found. To the prospect, it was all the same website.

This means you just spent your time and money to market someone else’s website. Your banner ads, pay-per-click ads, videos, etc. just sent traffic to someone else’s website and that traffic became a paying customer.

However, if you were not using a company replicated website, and you were branding yourself or your own business, then when your prospect does their research online, they will be using keywords in their searches that you are branding. They will find your articles, blog posts, videos, etc. in the search results and do their research on content that you own. When they click the links in the content you own, they will be taken back to your website, and not someone else’s.

Developing your own personal brand can be a very powerful marketing method that will result in fewer lost customers for you, less spent on advertising per customer, and more profit for you and your business.

Sites like Facebook and MySpace are not just for kids.

Most people have heard about social media by now. It includes website like Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, Blogger (duh!), etc. What most people don't realize is how much of an advantage these sites can be for you.

For example, let's say that John Doe visits your website. He likes what he sees, but has heard that there are a lot of 'scammers' on the internet and he wants to play it safe. If you have links to your social media sites on your website, he can click on them and go directly to your blog, Twitter page, Facebook profile, etc. He can become comfortable with you, which will help move him from visitor to customer.

This can also be effective when you don't have links. Let's say John Doe goes to Google after visiting your site and types your name into the search box. What will he find? If you are using social media correctly, he will find those and see what you are already about.

There has to be a certain level of comfort and trust for someone to move from visitor to customer. That has been the case for years, not just for online business. When you develop trust and provide a solution to a need, your customers will come back to you again and again.

Nothing new to the business world, but most people forget the little principles when moving from a 'brick and mortar' business to an internet business.

The Taste I Love, and The Nutrition Isn't Half Bad Either...

Sometimes I get worn short on what foods to feed my family. I try to mix it up so that nobody gets bored, but I also like to keep the nutritional value of our meals high. What used to be a battle for 'healthy eating' has become less painful. Finding new ways to provide taste with nutrition has kept my family happy, which makes me happy.

So today I am sharing with you a recipe for nachos I came across that no only taste good, but are still fairly decent for you as well. We made a meal of it, as it is fairly balanced. I can't say that too often about nachos.

And how good was it? Even my 4 year old daughter asked for seconds.

Here is the low down:

The mozzarella stands in for the fatty cheddar, and black bean chips boost fiber and slice the calories. And with a big scoop of black beans and salsa, you get a blast of antioxidants.

1 bag black bean chips

1 can black beans, drained and rinsed

1 ½ cup shredded, low-moisture part-skim mozzarella cheese

1 cup cooked chicken, shredded or chopped

1 cup salsa

½ cup chopped fresh cilantro

Preheat oven to 400°F. Arrange the chips in a single layer on a large nonstick baking sheet. Cover evenly with the black beans, then the mozzarella cheese. Bake for 15 minutes, until the cheese is slightly melted. Remove from oven, spread the chicken evenly over the nachos, and return the nachos to the oven. Bake an additional 10 minutes, or long enough to warm the chicken and brown the cheese. Remove and top with your favorite salsa and the cilantro.

Some Ideas To Keep You Looking And Feeling Better.

Can you believe it has been seven weeks since my last post? You think I would have fallen off the face of the earth or something! I mean come on, you neglects their blog for that long anyways?!

Well, I guess I will have to give you something good here. And in light of the new year, I suppose I will give you some healthy body related info.

I was recently discussing overall health with a female friend of mine in the modeling industry, and she made for a very interesting conversation. I won't go into great detail, as our conversation lasted about one hour, but I will give you what she called her ten commandments of skin care.

Wash your face just enough to remove dirt and makeup, not to leave skin feeling tight.

You wouldn't leave the house without brushing your teeth - the same goes for wearing broad-spectrum SPF 15 minimum.

You can use regular cream around the eyes (we usually do)

Choose a moisturizer with antioxidants that protect skin from the elements.

Reapply moisturizer hourly when flying, unless you want to look DOA.

Look for an anti-aging cream with retinoids. Yes, they really work.

Apply anti-aging or anti-acne ingredients before any other products to keep from blocking their penetration.

More isn't always better. A pea-size amount of face cream is enough.

Exfoliate skin every week with a gentle scrub.

If you want real results, give products up to six months to work.

Whether you are man or woman, you can apply these to your life. Yes guys, you are allowed to take care of your skin. Put your ego aside today so you don't look like a catcher's mitt in 20 years. And if for no other reason, the ladies like it when your skin is taken care of. I mean, who wants your sandpaper hands and feet rubbing them in bed? Think about that for a minute guys.....

You Are Your Most Powerful Asset.

Being able to have success is very simple. It isn't always easy, but it is very simple. I have been able to break down my own experience and provide you with a solution.

You heard me right.

I am about to give you the solution to your problems. It is not some magic lotion, potion, or pill. It is very simple and you - yes even you - can follow it. The question will be will you apply it?

My solution presents itself in six steps. Lets see how they all break down.

#1. Have a Dr.Phil moment. - so how is that working for you? Are you doing the same thing over and over again? Are you still expecting different results? Did you know that is the definition of insanity?

#2. Only those who see the invisible can do the impossible. - Only shooting stars break the mold. The truly successful do things a little bit differently than everyone else. If you are doing the things that everyone else is doing, than you are going to get the results they are as well. I don't know about you, but that just isn't good enough for me.

#3. Develop a plan. - failing to plan is planning to fail. If you don't know how to get from New York to Los Angeles would you just start walking? How long would that take you? Where would you end up? Eventually you would just give up. (sound like most of the goals you have had in the past?)

#4. Become personally accountable and responsible. - The buck stops here. Once you make yourself the end all for everything in your life, everything takes on a whole new perspective. If it is your fault you didn't get that raise/promotion/award, then you will work smarter to achieve it.

#5. Self education. - Schooling will make you smart, but self education will make you a success. Think about everything you learned in school. It is the same thing everyone else learned too. It is what the other guy learned on his own that sets him apart from you.

#6. Use time each week. - If you make it a point to review and adjust each week, then you will stay on track. The more you keep it fresh in your mind, the more you will think about it, and the more you will accomplish.

You Are Your Most Powerful Asset.

You have seen it before. There is always someone out there who is better looking, more successful, and more whatever you can think of. There is always someone who has the secret you need to accomplish your goals. And without them, you are doomed to failure.

So many of us are spending our time trying to become successful or reach a goal that we start to mimic other people, thinking we will achieve what they have if we only copy them. You couldn't be further from the truth.

The truth is you are very important and very valuable. There is only one you, and you need to present you to the world. Let me give you an example...

When I first started marketing on YouTube, I watched a ton of videos from people who were already successful in this industry. I wanted to see what they were doing so I could have success as well. Sound familiar?

I started to copy the styles and content I found the gurus doing and applying them to my own videos. Did it bring me success?

Nope.

Nada.

Zilch.

One day it finally hit me. The only way to have success is to be me. When I stopping making videos the way other people were and started making them the way I would, I started to have success with video marketing.

Why?

It is quite simple. People started to get the real me.

People can tell when you are you. There is a genuineness about you that only shines through when you are being you. Your subconscious tells you when someone is faking it, and no one will follow a faker.

But Jeremy, I just got started today. Why would anyone follow a newbie? I can't possibly be myself.

Wrong again.

Your desire and passion for success will shine through if you be yourself. People don't follow income claims, systems, or the next best lotion/potion/pill.

They follow people.

And if you give them the real you, and you truly strive for success, they will follow you.

Are You Going To Complain Or Are You Going To Do Something About It.

Unless you have been living under a rock lately, you have undoubtedly heard from many political candidates about many issues that face us all.

Of course, if you have been living under a rock, maybe these issues don't affect you. But that is whole different story...

Regardless of where you stand on these issues or which candidates you plan on voting for, the most important thing you can do is VOTE.

I once heard a quote that went something like this:

"Americans would cross the entire globe to fight for democracy, but would not cross the street to vote."

Thinking about this brings me to the topic at hand. I hear all sorts of opinions coming from everyone about this issue and that issue. Yet only a fraction of the people I hear complaining are actually doing anything about it.

So here is my thought for you.

VOTE.

It is the single most powerful weapon we posses. We preach about how much freedom we have and how we decide who is running our government, which in turn means we are in control of our government.

You want to make your world a better place? Do your part. Find out where the candidates stand on issues. Find out what their plan of action is going to be. Become well informed and take action.

It is your right AND your responsibility.

Eliminate Your Job Before It Eliminates You

Are you worried about job elimination and office cutbacks? That is a hot topic for a lot of people these days. As you sit and worry about if your job will still be there for you tomorrow, a list of worrisome questions arise:

How will I support my family? Will I lose my house to foreclosure? How will I be able to pay my bills? What am I going to do about health insurance for my family?

These are all troublesome questions that many people are asking themselves today. Do you want to be one of them? I definitely do not.

I have secured my future. I made the decision to define my own future, rather than letting someone else do that for me. I started my own business marketing products for a financial services company.

I found this solution to be the best of both worlds. I was able to set my own schedule and determine my own worth, instead of letting someone else tell me what I was worth. Being my own boss is a great feeling, and I highly recommend it to anyone who is motivated to make a change in their lives.

I mentioned that I market financial products. I see this as a recession proof industry. Lets face it, as the economy goes down, more and more people are searching for the financial answers they need to survive in life. I no longer have to worry about having a demand for my business because it will always be there.

Now I know what you are thinking. You have no marketing knowledge and starting your own business can be expensive. I felt the same way when I was looking for a way out of the rat race. But what I found during my search was something that was teachable and affordable.

The new internet business model allowed me to start my own business for a lot less than traditional brick and mortar type business would. I didn't have to rent a building, I didn't have to keep an inventory, and I didn't have to hire a bunch of teenage employees to run my business. I couldn't believe that something like this existed.

I was able to start my own business and learn from people who were already successful running their own internet business. They taught me exactly what they did to become a success. I was able to get my business up and running and leave my job far behind.

I no longer worry about job elimination or job outsourcing. I work from home and support my family. I no longer have a list of worrisome questions that plague me everyday. I work on my schedule and enjoy spending time with my family. If you have motivation, then I highly recommend doing the same thing for yourself. Could It Come At A Better Time?

Okay, I admit it.

After racking my brain on a plethora of subjects to blog about, I have ultimately decided that there is nothing worth blogging about this week. Not to say that there is nothing happening in the world, but who wants to read about your investments going belly up or how much mud slinging the political candidates are doing? Again.

Now, I honestly do enjoy the political punches that get thrown near election time. But, like you, writing about it now feels just like reading it or watching it on tv. At this point, enough is enough. And when it is all said and done, you will probably learn just as much as you would from this blog post. Nothing.

Aside from some chad counting, major voting screw ups, or some novel supreme court ruling, the next couple of weeks should bring a sigh of relief.

No more phone calls.

No more political tv commercials.

No more mass junk mailings.

Hopefully, nothing of any importance will fill our lives. We will all just sit back and have our moments of zen. That is of course until we all start blaming everyone else for all of our problems. Again.

Can You Survive Leaving Corporate America?

To stay home or not to stay home with your children is the big question many parents are asking themselves. Or perhaps it is not a question if you should stay home or not. Maybe it is a desire to stay home and raise your children. You may then have the question 'how can I stay home and raise my children without going broke?'

Well, I have come across a solution to this problem of staying home to raise my children while not going broke at the same time. It something I call being a 'Full Throttle Marketer.'

Now I know what is going through your mind right now, and I want to ease your fears.

I do not have any formal marketing training.

I went to college and obtained my associates degree in automotive technology. I think you would agree with me that this is far from anything close to marketing. I can however, follow simple instructions. If you can do the same, then you can find success while staying home with your family.

I want to clarify something here: this applies to being your own boss, becoming an entrepreneur, etc. This does not apply to working for someone else from your home.

You will want to find an opportunity with a lucrative compensation plan. This is a must if you want to make any significant amount of money from home. If you are going to be investing your time in a business venture, you will want to be well compensated for it.

You will also want to check for ease of getting started and expansion. You may be starting your new business with little to no experience, and having some pre-made templates will allow you to get your business venture up and running quickly.

But wait, I also mentioned expansion. You want to be able to expand what I call 'You, Incorporated.' Having templates is great for getting started, but once you get the ball rolling, you will want to starting branding you and your business, and templates just won't work for that. Make sure you can brand yourself once you get some experience under your belt.

Okay, this all sounds great, but what about the time I want to spend with my family. Isn't that the whole purpose for working from home? This all sounds like it is very time consuming.

You want to find a business model that has a professionally staffed call center that does all of the selling and telling for you. Lets face it, ninety-five percent of all people have no selling skills. How can you possibly sell enough of your business to make a decent living and still have time for your family? That is the whole point of having a call center. They know how to sell and they are good at it. This will free up your time so you can concentrate on what I mentioned at the beginning of this article: Full Throttle Marketing.

If you can spend all of your work time marketing you and your business, and not have to worry about selling, you can increase your business dramatically. Marketing is what drives people to your business. The more marketing you do, the more potential customers you have. Think about how much more marketing you could be doing and how much less selling you would be doing.

This also allows you to do something else: run your business on autopilot. You can take that vacation or day trip you have always wanted to go on. Maybe your son has a baseball game today. Or your daughter has a dance recital. Wouldn't it be great to never miss another activity again? To have that guilt just disappear? And since you have a call center closing all of your sales for you, you will be generating an income even while doing these things you enjoy.

So lets wrap up. Becoming a Full Throttle Marketer allows you to stay home with your family, earn an actual income that you can support your family on, and you get to work on your schedule. So what are you waiting for? Put your life at Full Throttle!

Who Will Survive This Economic Downturn?

I believe the stock market is going to be a tough place to be for some time. I know, Bear market recoveries can be very powerful, and can even recover 50% of their losses. However, I extremely doubt that this will happen for this particular bear.

My reasoning is simple.

While the stock market is already down 40% from its highs, the economy is just now heading into a recession, one which I believe will be an incredibly painful one for most people.

Historically, the stock market begins to recover from a recession about half way through it. That tells me that we have at least 6 months to a year before that will be possible. Furthermore, this will not be a run of the mill recession. For one, the credit market is dead, and it will continue to be very difficult to get any loans. Since our economy is now a debt based one, this is very bad news, and once layoffs begin to increase, just as they did this past month with 159,000 people losing their jobs, the reality of all this will begin to set in.

People go through 3 definitive phases when dealing with difficult financial times in their life. Phase one is denial, which is where we are currently. Right now most people see this as just a temporary fluctuation in the stock market, and believe that it will soon turn around, but it will not. Phase two is when reality really begins to set in. Layoffs, foreclosures, and bankruptcies, which are only beginning to increase in their intensity, become reality. And then there is phase three, which I refer to as surrender. This is when things are so bad that an individual will sell everything left, with any value at all, just to hold on to some remnants of their prior life.

If this all sounds incredibly bleak, that’s because it is. 80% of the country is upside down financially, and as you have probably noticed, very little of the $3 trillion that is being put back into the economy by the Federal Reserve will actually help individuals directly. Ok, this newly printed flash cash will ensure that the banking system survives, but none of it will be deposited into any of our bank accounts, which is where its needed most.

Why I am calm, cool, and collect

So I recently went by one of the Ford dealerships I used to work at. I expected to get the usual small talk about how lucky I am, how much everyone hates their jobs, and how much they need to get out of there.

All talk and no action. Exactly what I expected.

But I noticed something different this time. Everyone was standing there talking to me. No one was selling cars and no one was fixing cars. The place looked like a ghost town.

So I inquired about recent business. There wasn't much to talk about. There was no recent business.

So how could that be?

Didn't I know that the economy was in shambles? Didn't I know that everyone is pinching their pennies? Didn't I know that people were losing their homes, their cars, and their jobs?

Sure I did. I read about it all the time.

So how do I keep my composure? Why am I not worried?

Simple. I am an entrepreneur. I make money for me and not someone else.

I market financial products, something everyone needs now that the economy is in a downward spiral. The more the markets fall, the more people come looking for me.

So the next time you are thinking about how much the cost of gas and groceries are going up, try thinking about something you can do about it. Start creating wealth today and a legacy for tomorrow, and your worries about the poor economy just seem to disappear.

This could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship

Often I am asked by new entrepreneurs what marketing methods I used when I first started. They want to know effective ways to generate leads and produce income. They want to get their business going, but are unsure on which road to take.

Now, I don't want you to take this the wrong way, because I think it is great that people are seeking answers to their questions. In order to be successful, you should do what successful people are doing, right? However, you do not possess the proper mindset for success if you are asking. Doing exactly what I am doing or was doing will not bring you success.

First off, you should be enjoying your new business venture. If you wanted to be miserable, you would be at your job, right? So if I told you that I had tremendous success doing blogs and forum posts, but you hate writing, how much sense would it make for you to do these tasks when you are first starting?

Zero.

Zilch.

Nada.

You would be miserable. Your heart wouldn't be in it. And you would quit. End of story. You would become a statistic and label that business opportunity as a scam.

So what do you do?

I help teach members of my team to use all sorts of different marketing strategies. Ever hear of MySpace or Facebook? How about Squidoo or HubPages? Blogs or forums? How about articles or press releases? Ever seen a banner ad or search marketing ad?

These, as well as others, are all ways to market your new found business. They are all effective at generating leads. There is only one problem with each of them.

You.

Hardcore. I have been called that several times. But the fact remains that these marketing strategies don't fail.

Your marketing fails.

So what is the difference?

When you first start with your new business, you need marketing that is going to work fast to generate you leads. So again I am asked, which one should I do?

You are the only person that can answer that question. You need to determine your strengths, your weaknesses, and what you really enjoy doing. Start with a strength that you enjoy doing. You will be able to master this fast and you will enjoy doing it.

Pick the wrong technique, and you will hate every minute of it. Period.

Once you master one or two marketing techniques, start on a third or fourth one. Continue to build from there. It will make your journey of becoming a master marketer more enjoyable. Success will come faster too.

That is what we all want, right? Enjoyable success.

If you conquer all of the easy stuff first, there will be no hard stuff.

The perfect entrepreneur.

Lets face it, during a typical day in our lives there are times when it is easy to be a positive person, and there are times when it is not.

What expectations do you have for yourself as an entrepreneur? 300 leads a day? More money coming in than you know what to do with? A Donald Trump or Robert Kiyosaki image? No doubt that you, and I, have a picture in your mind about what a 'super' entrepreneur is. But is your vision realistic or just a glorified picture of what you think you ought to be?

Being positive does not mean you have to be perfect. In fact, the vocabulary of a positive entrepreneur does not contain the word perfect. A positive entrepreneur realizes that neither circumstances nor people are ever perfect.

God knew what he was doing when he created each and every one of us, imperfections and all. He uses our unique combination of abilities and disabilities to help build loving and balanced relationships. Often we are tempted to compare ourselves to other people, even 'perfect' people we see on television and movies, and forget that we were created as unique people designed to benefit our unique environments.

Other entrepreneurs may look like they have it all together, but in reality they, just like you and me, have their good points along with their flaws, challenges, and regrets. The difference is they don't get discouraged by their weaknesses. Instead, they are determined to build on their strengths.

Why wasn't your prospect successful?

On the surface this may seem like a very simple question that could be answered by a few of the typical/obvious answers:

They quit. They didn't plug in. They didn't participate.

The list goes on and on...

What you want to ask yourself, or maybe even know about yourself, is WHY...

WHY didn't they follow through, while others do?

When I finally learned the answer to this question during a conference call with one of my mentors, it became one of those 'ah ha' moments I will never forget...

Not only did the reason behind their results reveal itself, but the reason for my recent success level became clear as well.

So what is the answer?

Why do most people fail when a select few succeed?

Wait for it...

Those who do succeed have a Core Desire to do so.

Those who don't share that same Core level of desire will not.

"Desire... so what, I have already heard that 100 times from my upline: 'Just look for people with desire and you'll do great... do what they do... and so on. Everyone I talk to has the desire to make more money. It hasn't made any difference so far."

You are absolutely right.

The difference is in their amount of desire.

The only time anything ever gets done in your life, when you follow it through to completion with a sense of urgency, is when you desire to accomplish that task at a Core Level of 100 on a scale of 100.

You must accomplish it. It's a part of you. It consumes you.

It controls your thoughts above and beyond anything else all day, every day.

These are Core desires, and the people who achieve great success in network marketing, have that accomplishment as a core desire.

They are the ones you see on stage and hear on the training calls.

That's it. That's the big secret.

If achieving your goal, whether it is to buy a house, save for retirement, pay off your credit cards, or fire your boss, is not a core desire, and not attached to your networking business, you will not succeed. No exceptions.

The truth is that most people in this industry did not buy a business, they bought hope. And hope is never backed by true desire.

Hope is for the undecided and the unwilling.

Firing my boss and becoming a successful entrepreneur is a core desire of mine.

The desire to never work for anyone else again has been a dominating force in my life. It's the reason I continued to pour every spare cent I ever made into my business. It is the reason I had more debt than most people make in a year.

I had zero network marketing knowledge. I was an auto mechanic. All I knew how to do was put a wrench on a nut and turn it. Yet I kept going forward without doubt because I have this core desire at a level of 100 to succeed in networking.

And this means my success was 100% guaranteed. It was no longer a matter of IF, but when...

So that is why people you sponsor quit.

Don't get upset, frustrated, or even pissed off. 80% of people who join you will never sponsor more than 1 rep or customer. Most people simply don't have the desire at a level of 100 to attain their goals through their new business. They just bought hope in order to quiet that little voice inside them that keeps begging them to make a change.

Once they buy the business, and they don't make $1,000 in 5 days, they can then justify their fear of change with the "programmed knowledge" that it just "didn't work", and that they knew it was all a scam to begin with... This is especially true with opportunity seekers, which is why I never spend any of my money on leads and why you shouldn't either.

Have you reached that 'ah ha' moment yet?

It is very sad, yet very true. People are funny aren't they?

So my question to you is...

What is your desire level to accomplish your goals through network marketing?

Is it at 50? (like most people)

Is it at 80? (not enough)

Is it at 90? (getting closer)

Or is it at 100? (The only number that WILL produce results).

You should be able to tell pretty quickly...

What do you do each day to build your business? How many books on the industry have you read? How many conference calls are you on each week? How many people do you talk to about your business/product every day?

What would you be willing to give and sacrifice in order to have success?

If you are truly serious, then the answer to that questions is "whatever it takes", because I can promise you the end result is worth the sacrifice.

So how can you tell if your prospect is going to succeed or fail from the very first time you speak with them?

Ask them this question: "So which books are you currently reading on self-development and marketing?"

Anyone who is TRULY serious about being a successful entrepreneur will be able to name at least one book they are reading right now.

Those who can't are just kidding themselves.

But one of the biggest questions I have for you is this: "Are you one of the 80% looking for hope and destined for failure? Or are you at a core level of 100 to make your success a reality?"

Bernanke Drops The Ball, But AIG’s Rescue Gets Done

Sugarland, TX – September 18, 2008– Yesterday I wrote that the “FED must drop rates and that AIG must be bailed out”. Tonight we have word that the AIG bailout has happened, and that 80% of the company will now be owned by us…the US taxpayer. Congratulations everyone….we now owe over $1 trillion in additional unfunded liabilities.

"The Board determined that, in current circumstances, a disorderly failure of AIG could add to already significant levels of financial market fragility and lead to substantially higher borrowing costs, reduced household wealth and materially weaker economic performance," the NY Federal Reserve said.

Look, here’s the bottom line on all of this. The delirious “geniuses” that dreamed up these ridiculous instruments called “derivatives” over the last 10 years are to blame for the current mess we are in. If any of us were responsible for this monstrosity of a creation, we would be tarred, feathered and hanged for the whole world to see. I honestly don’t know if the worst is behind us, because I have lost complete confidence in a government that would allow this to happen in the first place. It’s almost as if they want it to happen….“it” being a repeat of the catastrophic events of the 1930’s Great Depression.

The truth is that I am an eternal optimist, and that I believe in the great spirit of ingenuity that lies in each of us. Unfortunately, “we” are not running things right now, and the idiots that are don’t seem to know how to right the ship that we are all sinking in.

So, what would I do if I ran the Federal Reserve??

I would institute the “Herriage Manifesto”: a FIVE STEP PLAN to completely clean up our markets in less than 30 DAYS:

One: I would open the books of the FED so that for the first time EVER, our private bankers accounting shenanigans could be audited and uncovered. The FED is as Federal as Federal Express…which means that it’s not federal at all. It’s a private cabal that lines the pockets of the worlds “ultra elite” through massive criminal activity and should ultimately be abolished… and the crooks that profit from our misery should be thrown in jail for life!

Two: I would place the US dollar back on a limited version of the gold standard immediately, and reverse the amazingly poor decision made in 1973, when Nixon removed all of gold’s backing from our currency. Then, over a 50 year period I would mandate that 25% of all money in circulation must be backed directly by gold. This move would reduce interest rates by 50% overnight, increase lending to consumers by 300%, and would have real estate prices appreciating across the board NOW…and for decades to come.

Three: I would eliminate “naked short selling” and make these crooks immediately cover their short positions so that Wall Street thieves couldn’t drive otherwise healthy companies into total and complete bankruptcy. This criminal short selling would be eliminated in less than an hour and we would see share prices rise by 10% in a single day…. and over 25% in 30 days. The fact that this has not already been done tells us that the foxes are guarding the hen house!

Four: I would make it a crime (criminal not civil) to issue derivatives that do not directly add to the well being and health of a particular industry or commodity. Derivatives make a lot of sense for a farmer that is hedging against a bad crop season, but they make no sense when used by financial institutions that are using them to increase their returns by 2% per year, while placing the entire financial system as we know it at risk.

Five: I would remove all barriers to trade, and open the markets entirely so that a true ‘free enterprise” system could develop once and for all. Protectionism is the enemy of the entrepreneur, and once removed allows prices to move based purely on supply and demand. This allows businesses to make decisions based in what really works, pure and simple, instead of some government mumbo-jumbo about “protecting us” from international competition.

Where we go from here will be interesting to watch. This has the feel of a total selling climax, which gives us the massive negativity that we need to finally reach a contrarian bottom. The next few days will tell us if this is the case, so stay tuned.

Good luck to all as we work our way out of this mess caused by our idiot decision makers in the government, and by the criminals at the FED.

Does your mindset really matter?

A home-based business requires extra time, motivation, and commitment from you. In most cases the person running the business is doing so alone or with very limited help. It is because of this that it is very crucial for you to have the desire to succeed.

In order for your business to flourish, you must flourish both mentally and physically. You will not be able to run your business if you are physically sick and you can't give your business everything that it needs if you are mentally negative. Physical fitness generates mental toughness. Similarly, you can reinforce a "nothing will stop me" mindset by challenging yourself in your athletic endeavours or physical fitness routine.

A positive mindset is imperative to the success of your home-based business. A positive mindset is so necessary because of the Law of Attraction. In simple terms, you will get what you expect to get. Before you can create a successful home-based business, you have to form a clear vision of what you want your home-based business to become. If you consistently think and hope for a mediocre business then you are likely to get that, or even less.

Aim as high as you possibly can so that even if you fall short of your dream, your chances of success are still great. Thinking positively stimulates your emotions and this helps to excite your creative spirit. Your brain responds to stimuli. Subject yourself to positive stimuli and avoid the negative stimuli. You will start beginning to see more things as possible. Read the success stories of others who came before you. The more you experience the positive mindset of successful people, the more you will see yourself on the same path of success. Those who expect negative things to happen, often experience negative things and fail as a result. A home-based entrepreneur who has a negative mindset is more likely to give up on their business the moment that a problem presents itself because it will be seen as a road block and impossible to pass. A home-based entrepreneur who has a positive mindset is likely to achieve success. Having a positive mindset does not mean that your journey will be free of problems, but someone with a positive mindset will find a way to conquer them. While it is not possible to cleanse yourself of all negative thoughts and influences in your life, it is possible to restrict them.

How does a home-based entrepreneur keep a positive mindset, especially when you don't have a strong support system? Begin by staying clear of people who don't support your home-based business and attempt to degrade you by making negative comments. You must also stay positive so that when you are met with opposition you are able to dispel it. If you begin to second guess your abilities as a home-based business owner because you let what other people say affect you, then you will not succeed. Keep in mind that the success of your home-based business is dependent upon you. This is why it is crucial for you to stay positive in all situations. There are problems and setbacks in everyone's career. It is not so much how many problems that you face that will determine the success of your business. It is your ability to surpass these unfortunate events that determines how profitable your home-based business will become.

In order to have success, you have to believe that nothing can stop you from achieving your goals. You won't always get what you want, but most often you get what you expect. As a home-based entrepreneur you should be consistently expecting prosperity, wealth, and overall success. Even if success doesn't come to you in the ways that you expect, your positive mindset can help you to put more allegiance in your home-based business and new opportunities will be abound. A positive mindset does not promise success by itself, but it will help you to achieve it. Plan carefully, be patient, and retain a positive mindset through everything and you will become a success.

What good is your life if you have no one to share it with?

We are all seeking something better in life. A better house, a better car, and a better job. We want a cure for cancer, end world hunger, and bring global peace. All of these are sought after every day, and all of them would make someones life better. Still, what good is any of it if you have no one to share it with? Hence the need for our relationships.

Time, effort, and imagination must be summoned constantly to keep any relationship flourishing and growing. Grow your relationships, and you will grow your life.

Relationships are the backbone of our existence. We need to cultivate them as best we can. When you are on your deathbed, you want your family there with you, sending you on your journey. That is the sign of an excellent life. You can gain every possession in the world, but if you lose your relationships, what good has your life been? What legacy have you left and to whom did you leave it to?

Spend more time with your spouse. Spend more time with your children. Spend more time with your friends. Remember, life is always about the relationships and the way to build relationships is by giving them time. Relationships are a simple process really. You get what you give. The more you put into your relationships, the more you get out of them.

Obtaining and maintaining your relationships is not always easy. It takes effort to make the time. It takes effort to put up with another person's faults. It takes effort to utilize yourself to make your relationships everlasting.

Imagination just means that you have to see with your imagination what the relationship could be. Use your imagination to take your spouse out for a date like you used to. Use your imagination to plan a fantastic vacation for your family. Use the creativity that you use on the job to be successful in your family, even you might be amazed at the results.

It is time to make your life everything that it is supposed to be. Put these simple practices into motion and you will watch your life become greater than you thought possible.

Why today's society has little patience for you

You want to be successful at what you are doing, right? So you come up with some product or service that you think a lot of people would want to buy. You know that nobody will buy the product or service unless they know about it. So you start marketing and advertising your product or service. You do everything you can think of to get in front of consumers. You quickly find that most people are frustrated with you, because you are wasting their valuable time. People are yelling at you, hanging up on you, and telling you where you can stick it.

Companies today have come up with so many filters and labels that they market to you exactly what they think you will buy. It is an information tidal wave and it is headed straight at all of us. They know what you eat, what you wear, the car you drive, your favorite sandwich, your leisure activities, and how many hairs on your head. They know exactly what you will buy, and they want you to buy it from them.

People today don't want to be bothered with anything anyone is trying to sell them. Many things have gone into effect to protect consumers from this tidal wave of information coming straight at them. From pop-up blockers to the do not call registry to spam filters, everyone wants to be left alone and not bothered with you or your product or service. So now you are left with no way to reach your potential customers, right? Wrong!

The internet is a virtual playground for almost everyone today. This means that your potential customers are using the internet and are waiting for you to show them your product or service. 'But Jeremy, how do I reach these people if they don't want to be bothered or spammed or called?' That is an excellent question and one that has a very simple answer. You don't approach these people with your sales pitch. You have them approach you.

People are very open and responsive when they are seeking an answer to their problems or want to know more about a specific subject. You make yourself what other people are looking for. It is a simple process called attraction marketing, and it works. I do not cold call anyone. I do not stop everyone within three feet of me and pitch my product to them. I do not chase leads. They chase me. Your leads can chase you, too. You just have to learn how.

Using this methodology that I like to call rejection free marketing, you too can see success where you have failed in the past. You just have to do it. It is that simple.

Ok, so I came across this post about a week ago on the MS Forum, and it instantly struck a cord with me.

After you’ve been in this industry as long as I have, you start to get X-ray vision when it comes to reading people, and the answer to this person’s dilemma, was painted right there throughout her post.

I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it for days, so I finally decided to share my thoughts about it with you…

My husband and I joined ******* in April. So far it has been a frustrating experience. We followed the steps our sponsor suggested and have seen nothing for results. Some people ask for more information and we talk but then they disappear. It seems like they see the price and figure its a scam. There is such a stigma around the internet that if you have to put in money upfront it's a scam. We can't seem to get people past the $3,000. I know there is an option for people to join for $100 to be an affiliate but then you pass up sales and people are like no way. So how many times have you heard other people say something just like this? How many times have you said something like this yourself?

I hear similar stories from people on a DAILY basis, and years ago, I could have written this post myself!

So let’s dissect this together, and I’ll share the insights I’ve gained through my experiences with you along the way.

Please understand that I’m not picking on the author in any way. In fact, I applaud her for seeking an answer, and have full confidence in her ability to find that answer and become a stronger leader for it.

This is about LEARNING, and GROWING. Who wrote the post above is irrelevant, because we’ve all been there, (myself included), but with that being said, I’m not going to sugar coat this…

My goal is to help you identify the psychology behind the words, so you can learn to identify your own weaknesses and address them.

There’s a lot going on here…

From the very beginning, “Sarah”, seeks out the sympathetic attention of others, and then tries to pin responsibility for her lack of success on something outside her self.

This is something you CANNOT allow yourself to do. You must take responsibility for your actions and your results.

Until you honestly and truly do, you’ll be an employee. Why? Because there’s no one to blame when you’re the boss, and until you’re comfortable with that fact, you’ll never be the boss.

It’s not your family’s fault, it’s not George Bush’s fault, it’s not because you were picked on as a child, it’s not your sponsor’s fault, and it’s not your marketing system’s fault.

Which brings my to my biggest pet-peeve in this industry... I can’t stand it when a leader hands someone an ingenious marketing system that WORKS for $50/Mo, and that would take them 5+ years and $250,000+ to create, and then they blame that leader when they don’t make any money.

These people are the whiners and complainers in this industry, and they’re the biggest p*****s on the planet.

It’s your fault. Accept that and be at peace with it. Once you do, you’ll gain access to an entirely new reality where the successful entrepreneurs play.

Everything that happens in my life, for better or worse, IS MY FAULT. And I’m totally fine with that.

When “Sarah” can’t figure out why she’s not succeeding, her mind tries to find the most logical reason why, and in this case, it’s price.

That’s an excuse. Price doesn’t matter.

I learned this the heard way, because I thought, (just like Sarah), that it did… But at that time, my opportunity only cost $200 to get started!

Yet I was coming from a poverty mentality, and back then $200 was a lot of money in my world.

That was my reality, and I projected my reality onto everyone else. I assumed they would think $200 was a lot of money as well, and guess what… The people I attracted to myself DID!

If you think a $3,000 fee is too expensive and that people won’t pay it, or that they’ll call it a scam… THEY WILL TOO.

If you think $3,000 is a bargain, and that your opportunity is truly valuable, then THEY WILL TOO.

It has nothing to do with the actual price. It has to do with your reality and whether or not you’re really congruent with the opportunity you’re in.

I understand that you might be hurting financially right now, and that’s fine, but you need to get this…

If you feel poor, you’re going to project that reality and see the world through poor persons glasses, and everything you say or do will be affected by it.

Well I have news for you...

The world isn’t poor. You just see it that way.

There are millions of people out there who would have no problems investing $3,000 to start a business.

Hell, people normally spend $10,000 to $20,000 to join MY opportunity. And that’s intentional!

I decided a few years ago, that I wanted to be involved in a business that RECQUIRED that kind of investment, because I only wanted to associate with people who were living in that kind of abundance and reality.

You are living in a mental world that you designed, and you constantly justify and support that world through the people you associate with, the books you read, the shows you watch, the actions you take, and the excuses you make.

People in this industry are looking for something OUTSIDE themselves to change their reality… They’re looking for a system, a product, and opportunity, a sponsor… ANYTHING and everything but themselves. These are the losers that buy quality training courses and then send them back when they don’t get rich.

I’ve probably bought 100 MORE books and training courses than you have over the past 10 years, and I’ve never sent back a single one.

Why? Because I don’t expect them to bring me results on a silver platter. I expected them to allow me to create my own results through sacrifice and hard work.

If you want to change your results, you have to change your attitude. You have to change the way you see yourself, your business, and the world around you.

People don’t see the internet as a scam, and the $3,000 price tag doesn’t matter to anyone but you.

Right now, you don’t live in a reality of abundance, and you aren’t truly congruent with the idea of being a leader just yet, because leaders don’t make excuses.

That’s FINE. NO ONE starts there. We all have to acquire those skills.

This is a matter of personal confidence. If you want to see the power of a changed reality in action… If you want proof that it’s possible… Then just watch any of those makeover shows on TV.

They take a person with zero confidence… A person with that doesn’t respect their body… A person that thinks the world hates them, and that they’re ugly… And within a day they completely transform their lives with a simple haircut and change of clothes.

They look into the mirror and they see someone completely different, someone confident, someone powerful, and instantly… A new reality for their life is created.
It is unbelievably powerful.

So here’s the deal… Leaders run into more problems than anyone else, but instead of placing blame, they look for solutions.

Instead of saying, “We followed the steps our sponsor suggested and have seen nothing for results”, they say…

“What can we do differently to get the results we want?” Where am I weak right now, and what can I do in order to strengthen that aspect of my life?”

Once you start asking yourself how you can move forward, find a solution to your problem, or reach your goal, your reality will change and you will get ideas that will allow you to do accomplish what you want.

If you’re frustrated with your life or your business right now for ANY reason at all, go walk up to a mirror and look closely, because the person you see is the only one that’s holding you back.
